Samhain Festival


For our Samhaim celebration this year, we’ll be hosting a Halloween festival. We’ll have a full weekend of frightful fun, autumnal feasting, and pagan celebration. Below you will find an outline of the activities we have planned. Family-oriented activities are highlighted in blue, and ritual activities are highlighted in green. People of any or no spiritual traditions are welcome, but please be respectful. If you would like to be part of planning the ritual activities, shoot us a message or an email (contact@wildefellfarm.com) by October 15.

Join us for any portion of the weekend’s activities. Camping welcome, but be sure to bring proper cold-weather camping gear! When considering your costume, remember we’ll be outside and take the weather into account.

Vegan and Gluten free food options will be available, but other restrictions might not be accommodated. We cannot guarantee a peanut/nut-free environment. If you want, bring a pot-luck dish!

Alcohol allowed (BYOB). Drunkeness allowed after 6pm. Strict no-asshole policy. No smoking or vaping (tobacco or cannabis).

Friday 10/30

  • 2pm - Set up campsites and tents in the field

  • 5pm - Dinner and Storytelling around the Campfire

Saturday 10/31

  • 9am - Pancake Breakfast for campers

  • 12pm - Kid-oriented Activities (Family Forward)

    • Pumpkin Carving

    • Dangling Donuts

    • Cider-making

    • Face Painting

    • Other all-ages games.

  • 5pm - Costume Contest before kids leave for trick-or-treating. Direction to the best candy spots in Auburn provided. (Family Forward)

  • 6pm - Grown-up Games

    • Hay-bale Rolling Contest - ($50 grand prize)

    • Pumpkin Chuck (Winner gets the title “Chuck Pumpkin” and a little crown)

    • Candy Swap; Bring ONE bag of your favorite or strangest Halloween candy to trade

  • 8pm - Lighting of the Bonfire; Welcome the Ghosts; Invitation to leave messages on the alter.

  • 9pm - Late Night Games and Fortune-telling.

    • Ghosts in the Graveyard

    • 18+ Dangling Donuts

    • Halloween Trivia

    • Tarot

    • Etc.

  • 12am - Circle Dance and Burning of the Samhain Wreath.

Sunday 11/1

  • 5am - Put the Ghosts to Rest

  • 9am - Pancake Breakfast for campers

  • 10am - Clean up
